From a life of earth and flowers
These petal-falls of poetry
Wrought in dark and light-filled hours
Offered as my soul to Thee.
The four lines above were written in 1970 when poetry
began to come to me.
My birth name is Richard Eggenberger,
born of a Swiss father and a Russian mother. The name given to me in 1972
by the Mother in the Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Pondicherry, is Narad, and I am
mostly known by this name This is my first blog and I approach it not with
trepidation but with a prayer that I may receive the inspiration to share
intimately from my soul more than 65 years of my collaboration, union and
love for the earth, her flowers, trees, creatures and winged wonders of
the air as well as the extraordinary people and experiences along the way.
My aspiration is also to include the Messages of the Flowers given by the
Mother over a period of 50 years.
I invite all who love the beauty of the earth and resonate with her on
deeper levels to contribute to this blog through stories, poems and
photographs.
To begin I quote from Sri Aurobindo, Avatar and Seer-Poet
Flowers
are the moment's representation of things that are in themselves,
eternal.
